The rules for using Genjutsu AI — accounts, credits and billing, your content, acceptable use and your rights
2026/10/21
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Genjutsu AI ("Genjutsu AI", "we", "us" or "our"). They apply to genjutsu.app and to everything we offer there, including Genjutsu AI, share links and any related websites or apps (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Key points
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding contract. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
The Service gives you access to AI models, many of which are developed and operated by third parties. Models, features, prices and limits may change over time: we may add or remove models, change how a feature works or retire a feature. We may also apply usage limits, such as the number of generations you can run at once, file size and length limits, or rate limits, to keep the Service fair and reliable. Features marked as beta or experimental are provided for testing and may change or stop at any time.
Credits are sold in one-time packs. Each purchase is a single payment for the number of credits shown at checkout. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal: we never charge you again unless you buy another pack.
The price and the number of credits in each pack are shown on our pricing page before you pay. We may change pack prices or contents in the future. Changes apply only to later purchases and do not affect credits you have already bought.
Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor (currently Dodo Payments). We do not receive or store your full card number. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, unless we collect them for you. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may remove the credits that were granted for that payment until it is settled.
"Inputs" are the prompts, images, videos, audio and other material you submit. "Outputs" are the images, videos and other results the Service generates for you. Together they are "Your Content".
You keep all rights you have in your Inputs. As between you and Genjutsu AI, and to the extent permitted by law, you own the Outputs generated for you and may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the usage policies of the model providers involved. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
AI models can produce the same or similar Outputs for other people, so your Outputs may not be unique. Whether AI-generated content can be protected by copyright depends on the law where you are, and we cannot guarantee that it can.
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you. This includes sending your Inputs to the model providers that generate your Outputs, keeping your creation history, running safety checks, and showing public creations, together with the Inputs used to make them, in Community and on share pages, where other users can view them and use them as a starting point for their own creations. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons and copies in backups that are deleted on a regular cycle.
We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train AI models. The model providers that generate your Outputs process your Inputs to produce the result you asked for, under their own terms.
You are responsible for Your Content and for how you use it. By submitting an Input, you confirm that:
Do not include sensitive personal information, such as health, financial or identity documents, in your prompts or uploads. We may set limits on how much content you can store and for how long, so keep your own copies of anything important.
You must not use the Service to create, upload or share content that:
You also must not:
Where the law or the platform you publish on requires it, label AI-generated content as such.
Our Acceptable Use Policy explains these rules in more detail, including how we check content and what happens when the rules are broken.
We use automated and manual checks to keep the Service safe. We may block a generation, remove or disable content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe break these Terms or the law, or put other people at risk. Credits spent on content that breaks these Terms may not be returned.
To report abuse, including content that uses your likeness without consent, use the Report link on the creation in Community or on its share page, or email support@genjutsu.app. Tell us which content it is and why you are reporting it. If it shows you or someone you represent without consent, we will remove it. We act on reports of non-consensual intimate imagery as a priority. We may share information with law enforcement or other authorities when the law requires it, or when we believe it is necessary to protect someone's safety or rights.
Creations you make before your first purchase are public. They appear in Community on our home page and on a share page, together with the source video, reference images and prompt used to make them, and other users can use them as a starting point for their own creations. After you buy any credit pack, new creations are private by default, and you can switch any of your creations between public and private at any time. Making a creation private removes it from Community and turns off its share link. You can also delete a creation at any time to remove it completely. We are not responsible for content created or shared by other users or third parties. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, you can ask us to remove it with the Report link on the creation or by emailing support@genjutsu.app.
Some of the AI models and safety checks behind the Service are developed by third parties and run through our infrastructure partners. Their availability, behavior and pricing may change outside our control. When you use them, you must also follow the usage policies of their providers.
Signing in with Google, paying through our payment processor and other third-party services are governed by those providers' own terms and privacy policies. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.
The Service, including its software, design, text and graphics and the Genjutsu AI name and logo, belongs to Genjutsu AI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any right to use our brand. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@genjutsu.app with a link to the content and a description of your work, and we will review it. We may close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
The Service and all Outputs are provided "as is" and "as available". AI models can produce results that are inaccurate, unexpected, offensive or similar to existing works, and Outputs are not professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. Some places do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Genjutsu AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms.
Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Genjutsu AI and its team from any claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or anyone else's rights.
You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, email us at support@genjutsu.app from the email address on your account.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if we must do so by law, if your use creates risk for us or others, or if payment is not made. Where reasonable, we will tell you first. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, unused credits and fees are forfeited. If we stop offering the Service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid fees on a pro-rata basis.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including Sections 5.2, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 16, will continue to apply.
If you have a problem with the Service, please contact us first at support@genjutsu.app. Most issues can be resolved quickly this way, and we will try in good faith to resolve any dispute informally within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where Genjutsu AI's operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be decided by the competent courts of that place. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away the protections that the mandatory laws of your country of residence give you, including your right to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the Service before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last updated. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
